I bet you all thought I fell off the face of the earth..lol I didn't, just got lazy and wore out from this heat. I'm not rolling over June's list, which was rolled over from May..think I will pick new items for July list. I take the Q3 challenge, but at this time haven't a list together. I will post my July list and the Q3 this week. (promise)
I'm back to working full time so I have to get myself back into a routine. Lately its been house stuff, ripping up carpet and doing screens so not much on projects has gotten done. I keep running out of yarn.
Congrats to Goldiegirl on the Q2 win!! That's exciting! Everyone is doing a great job on gift items and I hope to rejoin in getting something done..lol
Enjoy your Sunday!!

Couple FO's
Wow, this month is flying by too, but I do have a couple FO's even though they were not on my list. One item on my list came to a stand still, not enough yarn left to do the mate but will post the one I did get done.
Fingerless gloves for my grandson, so until get more I will be putting this on hold for next month. Am hoping to get caught up with my list now that the kitchen stuff is finished and our A/C is fixed. Looking forward to getting back to my crocheting! Knitting is hard on my fingertips :)
Here are a couple knitted cloths, yes, I can say I knit now...lol, reason taking so long and nothing else getting done, but here are a couple dishcloths I did, the swim suit being the last and the bestest one yet :)

June Already?
Wow, hard to believe May flew by so fast and still I'm at the same point I was in April except better :) Hey Marce, can home redo's count? lol Afraid to say the only thing I did accomplish craft wise was the key chain purse and its not totally done. It needs a snap and the key chain part.
I had gotten a couple more rows on Lady's blanket. Here's what I have so far
I had gotten a couple more rows on Lady's blanket. Here's what I have so far June will be better, my kitchen is all repainted and has new flooring down. That's what we were working on the past few weekends. With work being so busy and then home being busy to finish up I think writing up this post has been the longest I've sat in a while :) Been chasing around after the newest member in the family, puppy we named Coco and is she a wild child..lol
I wound up ripping out the convertible mittens as the yarn was too thick and they fit me so a frogging I went and haven't' restarted.
So my June List is :
Finish Lady's blanket
put a snap and keyring on key chain purse
pair of felted slippers (pink/black, sons girlfriend, Christmas
pair convertible gloves, grandson, Christmas
pair of convertible gloves, Granddaughter, Christmas
I should be able to get his done and maybe more. Need the month to sit and recoup for the back aches...lol

Mary B May List
Wow, sure glad April is done with, but unfortunately I am rolling over 3 items. I did however get 1 item off that list and posted that before! (it was the pocket scarf)
Sorry I've been gone so long..everyone has done a great job on their items! You'll are gonna have lots of great gifts this year!! Which leads me to my May gift list:
Rollover- felted slippers-Crystal-by Christmas time
Rollover- Convertibles gloves- Grandson Tj- by fall
Rollover- Convertible gloves- granddaughter Kalee- by fall
am adding a couple of purse key chains -anytime gifts- no one special at moment
As for the Q2 Challenge there is no way I'd get my angel afghan done, no yarn for it yet. :(
I will shoot for a beautiful sweater from my new book- project I will be doing is called
" Ivory Shells Sweater" from Positively Crochet and it will be for Crystal for Christmas. If I get the chance I want to make one for my DIL Krista also. So I will be shooting for 2 of them!

Need to Carry Over to May
Hello fellow gift-alongers! Your all doing such a great job and I'm loving the pic's. Keep up the great work!!
I myself am not doing so well. I've been crocheting, but nothing from my list! Just haven't been able to concentrate on what I should be doing. So I will be carrying over my April list to May and hopefully will add to it as it was a short list. I'm still going to do my Angel Afghan though I don't think I'll make the Q2 challenge with it. Don't even have yarn for it yet, in fact I started a new blanket for Lady and ran out of yarn, thought her blanket would work also for the challenge but now awaiting the yarn to come in. Its gonna be a slightly felted blanket. (maybe it'll hold up alittle longer)
I'll try to comment on every ones items..so far everything has been beautiful and makes me want to learn to knit more, (though I'm currently in a knit-along for a cloth and going good so far). I'll catch it all up next month in May! I'm just in limbo-lost- land for concentration, guess now that Lady is doing better with the loss, it must be my turn.

Pocket Scarf FO
Wow, Sorry I'm behind some gang...been a rough week, but I'm good, its my remaining doggie I'm worried about but hopefully I can get her through missing her buddies. Think I may be making her a new blankie to lay on. Anyways, I managed to finish up a project I started in Dec 07, glad I put it on this month list as it is done!! Past couple days I was able to do alittle during my lunch hour and then when home got the pocket parts sewn on..April FO # 1..
Pocket scarf: I used Midnight blue Chenille so its really soft, was alittle sheddy for a bit, but fine now I think. So in the Gift basket it goes and I'm thinking I may make a hat to match with it. Be a nice gift set if needed.
Everyone have a great weekend!! I'm back to shaking the pom poms for you all. I know you can do it!! :)

Finally Mary B April List & QC-2
Well it certainly has been busy around this place lately..lol I had my list all ready to post, but am afraid I have to go light this month. I don't' need failures starting now. Unfortunately I just had to call the vet and make an appt to have my 1 dog put down. We go on Tuesday morning @ 8am. Something I've never had to do before and I know being busy is what I'll be trying to do, but not sure what effects will take place with this one..she's mom's baby. I'm only home today from work cause of a panic call from my son cause she had a seizure. Guess me going back to work is the culprit of her problems.
Anyways my list for this month is:
Pocket Scarf- started 3 months ago, hoping now will get finished..for gift box
Pair Felted Slippers- sons girlfriend- possibly sooner than Christmas time
Convertible Mittens-grandson-Christmas
Convertible Mittens-granddaughter-Christmas
All patterns are from books I have so there no link to post. Will post pic's as I get them done. I'm gonna try for the QC-2 to make myself that Angel Afghan. I made one once before for a swap pal and really loved it and want one for me. Hope I can swing this!!
Just want to let you all know that your all doing a fantastic job! I get so many ideas from things you all post, it'll help with future lists! Keep up the good work!!

2nd Quarter Challenge Item Done!
Woo-Hoo I did it!! I'm glad to say that I've worked all day on this gift item and it really was a challenge as far as the pattern went.
The Snow Girl Outfit
Made from Caron Simply Soft in Off White with Soft Pink and Bone stripes. The scarf and hat have been done for quite a while but the sweater I'll be going to the devil...lol Potty mouth I was at this baby..I had a hard time with the way the pattern was written, but I fumble through it and well looks good to me! I finished it with the buttons I had on hand, but I most likely will change those out once payday is here. But it is DONE!! That's my second QC!
Now to finish my sock which is just about done so hopefully be posting that tomorrow after I get home from work! Its my last item for March so I'll be making my hook fly so it done by tomorrow.

MaryB Slippers- FO
Well my felted slippers/clogs are done. I need to reshrink the one just a bit as its not quite the same, but it works for me. Just need to shave them up and clean the one up real good..lots of lint on it...lol I will definitely be making more of these so they will be on future lists. At least now I know as BIG as they were, they will shrink down.
Can tell the right one didn't turn out exactly the same, but its just a bit big so I'll be throwing it in again. But they are finished!!
The progress on my sock is coming along as you can see, just need to finish this one up and I'll be done my list.
It sure looks huge too, but does fit.
Now for that dang sweater for my Q1 Challenge, I need to get to work on it still. Hoping to get that done, just so I don't have to deal with it anymore..lol
Hope you all have a great knitting/crocheting day!!

Woo-hoo..thought I was at a standstill there for a while but I finally got my Soothing Rice Roll Finished. I planned to make 1 but made 2! Have 2 more I want to make fabric covers for but here is my finished Crochet Rice Rolls.
Oh don't let that blue one fool you, its really a bright purple so I copied the yarn color right from Caron's website so you know what color that is..

Its Iris and the one I made for my FO is the Sea Mist!
I love every ones items..your all doing great!! Keep up the good work!!

Update on the BIG Foot!
Well needless to say I decided that I am only going to felt the one slipper. Want to see how it turns out before ruining more yarn if that happens.
I made the upper this morning and just finihsed putting it on the sole and what a feat that was. I really had to stretch the upper to fit around the bottom. Thats when I decided I'm felting it first before going any further...lol (though I do hope it works out) I do have the second sole made already, just gonna hang onto it for now. Heres the finished one:

Help if someone could, Please?
Good Lord, I knew I had big feet but this takes the cake :) LOL
Has anyone done a pair of Felted Slippers? Is this size difference normal for this???
Holy Cow Batman, I mean, I like the way this makes my foot look small (please excuse the hairy legs) :) but, good grief Charle Brown, is this gonna shrink that much? I've felted lots of time, but never had this much difference in size to shrink down. Can anyone help with info?? Makes me wonder if I should choose another color other then the purple I wanted to make the upper part...might wind up being a guys felted slipper!
I'm following the crochet pattern for Felted Slipper here (its a pdf file download and free) and I'm doing the size for Ladies 7-9, even though my foot should be in a 10. It says to use a 5.5mm which is an "I". My foot being bigger then size called for I went up to a 6.0mm "J"..should I not have done that??? Help please if you can!

2 FO off March List!
Finally making some progress with my last QC project. I did get the hat done and the scarf is almost, about 2 more inches should finish that up. Then I can manage to get the sweater back in action. BUT I have gotten 2 out of 5 of my March items done and actually almost have #3 near finishing.
Here are my 3 -12" Blocks to catch me up for the Crochet Block-a-Month Group on Ravelry.
Dream Catcher 12" Square

Cross My Heart
Cygnus
I haven't blocked them yet, figured I'd wait till I get more squares. Definitely will be a nice size afghan when done. I really didn't expect them to be so big...lol Use to smaller squares, but I'll be making more of these in a smaller size. Be nice to have a couple extra gifts to have on hand or if I can get the right colors it will give me a afghan to give to DIL or son's girlfriend for a gift.
Second item finished up is a Tea Cozy. Now mind you my tea pot is not a normal tea pot, its a Santa tea pot
(isn't it cute) but, you see the handle is along the whole side and the spout doesn't bend out like on other pots, so I had a hard time getting the cozy to sit right on my tea pot...lol. It'll still make a nice gift for the tea recipient.
I am almost finished up with my third item. Been working on the Soothing Rice Roll so hopefully will get that in a photo shoot and posted before the end of the week.
I also want to let you all know that I think your doing a Fantastic job on your gift items! Give yourselves a pat on the back and keep up the good work!!
I know I love seeing all the finished projects cause it gives me ideas for some of my future ones and the inspiration to find some of these items in crochet...lol, though I might wind up getting out the knitting needles and giving it a shot, but it won't be a list item...takes me months of Sundays just for a cloth...lol
Happy Knitting/Crocheting to all!

Marys March Goals
Wow, February went by pretty quick, but at least that months goals were finished up. Still working on second QC project, alittle stuck at the moment on it :( but I finally decided what I'm doing for March, so here goes it:
3- 12" Afghan squares/self at the moment/ Block a month group I just joined (need catching up)
Felted Slippers/ self/ anytime, if they work out will make for family next
Tea Cozy/ self/ just to see if can do
Soothing Rice Roll/ family member/ b-day or Christmas or Fathers Day
Terrific Trellis or Fishnet Picot Socks/ self/ see if i can do
I know alot of mine are to see if I can do, if so, there will be more on future months list. Don't have links, most are in 2000 Crochet with heart magazine or books I have. Do hope to get past my stuck state on my QC project....think I'll switch to the hat and maybe my Brain will pick up the stuck part..lol
Good Luck to everyone on their month projects..I'll be cheering you all on!!

FO-Final off Feb Goals!

I'm glad to say that my 5 Feb. Goals are complete! I was lucky in finding my Jute for the Beaded Basket, though my jute was alot bigger and I had to use a size N hook! I had to space my beads out farther also as I didn't have 14 of them..lol but it turned out great and I even found a second color roll of jute so I can make another one later.
Now I can work on my last QC item and come up with a March List.
Keep up the good work everyone, projects are looking great!!

FO-4th one down for Feb.
Another FO for February. That make #4 down for me :) I decided to try what sorta is a pair of socks, just these are Pedicure Socks.
They were really quick and let me get over that sock heel fear...lol I do see me doing more of these for my DIL for Christmas as I have some pretty color sock yarns to do it with and I think she'll love em. She loves homemade gifts alot! Something she may be able to use as before they moved she had finally gotten licensed to do nails & pedicures.
So that just leaves me with having to do my Beaded Basket for my Feb Goals. Woo-Hoo!! Almsot done!

2 FO's & Update
Hello all, I know its been awhile but I have been sick and haven't crocheted up till a few nights ago when I finished these last 2 Boobie Pillows for my sons. I'm feeling better but this lasting cough is kicking my butt good...lol I'm running out of time..lol So here are 2 more FO's.
I have to change out my last Quarter Challenge as I had started the afghan not knowing its made of over around about 1000 - 2" squares and the 6 I had done have kittie mysteriously disappeared, so I'm going to scrap that idea and make an outfit for my granddaughter. Its called Snow Girl and it was an Annies Attic Free Pattern so I dont have a link just my paper I printed out that day. Its a sweater with 2 hearts on the front and a scarf and hat that match. I also had to scrap my cable sock, I couldn't figure out where I was in the pattern and had to frog the whole thing so I still need to come up with one more Feb project. When I figure that out I'll post it.
So updated Feb list reads:
3 Boobie Pillows/ sons/ Christmas or Birthdays-DONE
Beaded Jute Basket/ gift/ ?
another project not know yet
Last item for QC:
Snow Girl outfit/granddaughter/Christmas
Hopefully I'll be able to get more crocheting done so I can get my Feb projects finished up.
Everyones projects are beautiful and really makes it hard to not want to make them also...lol So if I haven't commented on your items, its just that I'm behind some, but wanted you all to know how talented you all are and how good everyone seems to be doing. Keep up the good work!!

FO- 1 down for February
Woo-Hoo 1 out 3 of the same thing listed is DONE!!

Now watch out cause its pretty bright and naughty..lol

I want to change the dates on all three of these items to read:
Boobie pillows/ 3 sons/birthdays-April, June,December
These are turning out much bigger then the last one I had done for #1 son that his dog ate one of the boobs off of. I know he'll be thrilled to have it back on his B-day, cause he said it makes a great neck roll!

February List and Last QC project picked
Well now that January's goals are complete I've had a chance to write down some February goals and I finally choose between patterns for my last QC project...
so my pattern for the QC is Casablanca Crochet Quilt
My Feb Goals are:
3 Boobie Pillows /3 sons /Christmas 2008
Beaded Jute Basket but revamp it/myself or gift/ March
To finish Crochet Cable Sock/ myself/ hopefully soon..lol started it in Nov, put it down and haven't picked it up since.
That gives me 5 for Feb. and then the pattern I picked for my last Quarterly Challenge. I know I can do this as long as I don't get sidetracked with other crochet projects...lol
Good Luck everyone on your goals!!
