I was deteremined to finish this blanket, so I was up till 2AM seaming all the edgings on. I re-wet blocked it to flatten out the seams. I have to say, I have done other seaming projects but they were either crocheted together or whip stitched. This was the first time I've done the mattress stitch. I started at about 10PM thinking it would only take me about an hour or so to complete.... 4 hours later! But it's done!!
Pattern: Lace Christening Blanket from Vogue Knitting Baby Blankets
Yarn: KnitPicks Shine Sport, 12 skeins of Silver Sage
Needles: KnitPicks Options size 5
Notes: The pattern actually called for each panel to be knit seperately, but I didn't want to do all that seaming, so I cast on all seven panels together and used stitch markers to mark each panel.

Amazing, Stunning, WOW!!
You should feel VERY proud of that finish - and the seaming - so well done!
That is the loveliest knit I've seen in a long long time!
Very very nice!
Absolutely stunning! Congrats on the finish!
Impressive!
Stunning! And congrats on having the patience to do mattress stitching for 4 hours.
That is beautiful. I love it

Absolutely gorgeous! Well done!
I'm 49 but if I can get a baby blankie like that from you I might consider getting pregnant again!
WOW! This is so delicate and lovely. Those 4 hours were worth it. This is really a special gift.
