Well, again, it's not a Christmas gift, but . . .

I have another FO. This is a handbag I made for a friend's birthday. I didn't get it done in time for her actual b-day, but I'm not really really late (yet). This started out to be a rectangular shoulder bag, but when I felted it, the top made a nice ruffled effect. So I just changed gears and made handles instead of a shoulder bag.
I also finished my first Hazy Paves scarf tonight. I have it blocking right now and will post a pic when it's dry. This one is for me, but I plan to start the one for my mom this weekend. I'm also going to start on the baby afghan this weekend, which I think will be my 2QChallenge entry.
1. Hazy Paves scarf - mom - Christmas gift - December 1
2. Felted clogs - husband - Christmas gift - December 15
3. Baby afghan - friend - new grandbaby - October
4. French Market Bag - friend - birthday - June 1
5. Cupcake - friend - birthday - July 1

hello april

My list for April mainly includes projects started in March (or earlier) which I am hoping to make significant headway on (or maybe even finish):

1. Guitar strap /for I/ finish for birthday -April 17
After frogging the whole thing, I have restarted and am about half way through. I hope to be able to give it to him for his birthday.

2. Sideway Spencer/for me/just because
My goal for March was to finish 3/4s of it - my goal for April is to finish it by the end of the month.

3. Wallaby/for Baby W/to celebrate his birthday
I just got this started by the end of March. I am hoping to finish the body by the end of April and to finish the whole thing as my 2nd quarter challenge.

4.Boucle socks/for Mom/birthday present
Her birthday is at the end of May so I would like to finish one sock in April and one sock in May.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Happy spring knitting everyone,
Suzie

2nd Quarter Goal

Ok, I think I'm ready... maybe? we'll see!
I'm going to try to make this vest for my mom.
Its out of a book called Knit Tricks!
It will be my very first true article of clothing.

I'm a little frustrated, because miss Tripsie chewed through the yarn i'm using for her Kitty Pi!!!
Mean little brat.
