March FO

Yay - I can take another project off the WIP list! And I can pat myself on the back for finishing my first sweater! This is a gift for me - the Easy Raglan V-neck, by Stefanie Japel. I used Beaverslide Worsted in Huckleberry Heather. The sweater came out a little smaller than I would’ve liked, but it’s still wearable, and not bad for a first sweater, I think. The pattern was simple and easy to follow. I added a single crochet edging to the V. It got really boring near the end, so my next sweater/garment will be something slightly more adventurous!

Since I was working on finishing this project, I was unable to start my 2nd project for the First Quarter Challenge - drat!

February FO

Hi everyone!

Just checking in with my February FO - an Anthropologie-inspired Capelet for my friend's birthday. I am so bad with sizing. This came out just a little bit small for the recipient, so she can only wear it open and not pinned at the top. And this is AFTER I picked up stitches in the front to make a more substantial garment! I do like how it came out though (minus the sizing issue).

Here is my finished Noro Striped Scarf. Really mindless yet fun knit - which I really enjoyed. I still have no idea who I'm going to give it to, but I guess I'll make a gift drawer!

Hi everyone, Cindy here! I'm glad to be joining this Gift-A-Long...thanks to Marce for organizing this! A little bit about me: I live in NYC, work as a research coordinator, and am working towards my career goal of becoming a physician assistant. I'm also the dyer behind Cherry Blossom Fibers. I loooove to craft, and am always looking for new things to try. I've been knitting for about 2 years. With all my crafts, I have a little bit of A.D.D. mixed with just wanting to try too many projects, so hopefully you all can help keep me motivated to stick to my knitting/gift goals!
