For many of us, this will be the last month that we will be busily stitching and seaming and putting items away for holiday presents. Our original plan was to be able to take the month of December off this year, and avoid the pressure of last-minute finishing. How have you done this year? Post and tell us where you stand with your present plans.
Feel free to track your entire gift list here, or at least put down your goals for November. We're all in this together - cheering each other on to a stress-free finish!

I'm back with new goals
I had to take a step back from the year long goals. My mojo left me for a bit but it's back. I have two goals.
1. Finish a pair of fingerless mittens by mid September
2. Start a Lady E stole (although mine will have a different name) - completion goal for this one is Christmas.
I'll have new goals ones the fingerless mittens are done.
Everyone's Finished Objects look great!!!!! :)

BrownBerry's April Goals
New quarter, new goals, and I'm jumping in as well! It's a short list this month because I actually have 2 things on the needles for myself right now.
1. Nurshing Shawl using the Cozy lace pattern /Baby Girl/ Virtual Baby Shower/ May 1
2. Lapghan using the Elizabeth Zimmermann Pi Shawl pattern /My no-blood mama/Birthday / October
That second one will be one of my biggest projects for the year, so I'm taking on the Q2 Challenge along with the group.
Heeeeere we go!

January Goals
Hi folks,
I'm pleased to join you here and since my first goal for this year is to finish all the overdue gifts from this year, I can certainly use the support. So without further ado, my first five projects:
Oh, and I accept the Q1 challenge. I'll need to add a second project next month for it.
Congratulations to (and I'm officially jealous of) those of you have already finished a project for next year already.
Good luck all,
Carol the Tardy

- Finish the almost, but not quite done yet projects from last year (
two scarves, felted backpack, water bottle cozies, and two teddy bears - all but one bear at least 50% done) - Cast on and work at least one ball of yarn for afghan from Knitting Nature for Dad - Christmas. [1/17 the yarn is in the mail]
- Felted slippers for Dad - 3/13 (his birthday) per his request at Christmas.
- Four washclothes for Mom - Mother's Day.
- Start pair of socks for one of my cousins-in-law - Christgiving. [started 1/12-yea!]

CanadianKiwi's Goals for 2008
My goals for 2008 are rather daunting, but with encouragement I can do it.
I just have to break it down into manageable chunks!
This is what I could like to accomplish:
*Learn to crochet - I can do the basic stitches but cannot read a pattern. I always seem to have less stitches at the end of the row that I need & the items edge is on an angle.
*2 Charity items per month
February
Finish Opal Socks
Soot Sprites x2 - Feb 14
Celtic Beanie - Feb 14
Slippers - Feb
April
Om Yoga Mat Bag - DD #2's friend SS - birthday
Jayne Cobb Hat pin x3 - Easter
Dolly Mama Cross Stitch - DD#1 - Easter
Pinwheel Purse - DD#2 - Easter
May
Extermaknit - DD#2
July
Twinkle Toes - LCF
Sheldon the Turtle - LCF
Whenever
Nightmare Before Christmas Scarf - DD#1
Kittyville Hat (Black) - DD#1

Mel's January List
I thought I would go ahead and post the list I have so far. I really don't want to make the monthly lists too big so that I won't be disappointed when I don't complete them. I still haven't decided on what I want to knit for everyone so I will just add to each month as I decide.
I also am so thankful for this group since this past year I was totally unprepared for the holiday. This was my first Christmas of all knitted gifts which consisted of only dishcloths. For 2008, I want to make everyone something a little more personal so each gift will hopefully be more special to them. The dishcloths were all well received though...YAY!
My list for January:
At least 2 headbands from DROPS Designs garnstudio
Pocketbook Slippers from KnitWits Heaven
The Isabeau Purse from Chez Plum
I also have the La Dentelle Belle Scarf OTN and hope to finish it. It's a beautiful scarf.
Then if I don't end up getting totally confused, there will be a Moebius KAL that will also been done by the end of January. (Wish me luck...I think I will need it.)
Good luck to everyone on your knitting goals! We can do this!!
