Another FO... days are flying by...

I can't believe it's Nov 23rd! One more FO (and another is just waiting for buttons).

This wasn't even on my list, but this Prismatic Scarf is for a coworker:

Piper Purse Present...

Finished this knit last week, but wasn't able to get to the lining until this past weekend... It's the Piper Purse by Louisa Harding... I changed the pattern from handles to long i-cord shoulder straps and added a lining w/ 3 pockets. A friend gave me the book for my bday and pointed out this pattern... so she's getting it for Christmas!

1. rollover - Vest/TJ/Christmas
2. rollover - Baby Blanket/TJ
3. Aleita Shell/Mom/Christmas
4. Thrummed Mitts/DK/Christmas

August update

Well... again, I lost track of my list, but do have 2 FO gifts to share:

First are River Rapid socks which are toward the Q3 challenge. These are for my best friend's Chrsitmas package...
RiverRapids2

And then a second Dumpling Bag (the blue one)... while I was felting it, I further-felted the first one I made. These are also Christmas gifts for 2 sweet girls.

July update

Well I finally finished item #1 for the Q3 Challenge... the Woodland Shawl for E's bday next month. It was an easy knit - quick to memorize the pattern which made it very portable. I didn't love the yarn, but the color is perfect for her and it's a superwash. Hopefully dirty little hands will stay away, but with 2 kids something washable is always a plus!

Woodland Shawl Closeup

I did make a couple of minor modifications (see notes on my Ravelry project page)... finished is approx 20"x80"

Q3 Challenge Accepted

Well despite not winning the fabulous Jordana Paige bag from the Q2 challenge, I'm excited for another one! My goals for this challenge:

1. Make Something old - finish the Woodland Shawl for E.
2. Make Something new - socks for L.C.
3. Make Something special just for you - pair of STR socks (pattern tbd)

I haven't thought much about my July list.. hoping to get some FOs done, but the only additional gift is a baby sweater for N.R.

Q2Challenge - made it!

Here's my Voyager Stole for my Q2 Challenge... it was hard to get a good photo without a model, but i'm thrilled with it. I even added 6 repeats to make it a bit longer.

Voyager-bush

And here's a close-up of the lace pattern:

I had hoped to finish my Aran Cardigan, but in the recent heat, the last thing I was going to do was sit with a lapful of wool! I did get the back and 2 sleeves done, so will start the fronts when it's cooler...

Late and long update...

Since June is approaching half-way point I figured I should post my May update... pics included for those that weren't posted previously.

May List:
Carie Lynn/Liz/May 15 => DONE
Carie Lynn/me/May 15 => this is the third bag I've done w/ this pattern and I think it's my favorite... so I'm keeping it!

Carie Lynn in Blue & Brown

Baby cardi /Baby W/May 30 - this is the Daisy pattern from Knitty.com. Easy design but I would have preferred a solid color for the seed stitch edges if I could have found one to match.
PinkCamoDaisy

Fluffy Lap Blanket/Grandmother - this is from Weekend Knitting. LOVE it and when it gets colder will probaby make an afghan size one for myself.
Fluffy Blue Lap Blanket

Baby vest/baby Fife/May 31 => DONE

I'm keeping the June list short since it's already the 11th, but will try to add to the list if time permits:

1. Bias Bag/tbd (carryover)
2. Half-Linen Stitch scarf/tbd
3. Felted Bag/E.P.

And still working on my Q2 Challenge: Voyager Stole (almost done!)

May FOs

Two completed FOs for May... #1 & 5 on my list:

Carie Lynn for my friend, L... she saw one I'd done and loves neutrals. I love the color combo - the brown is less-gray than in the picture but didn't have good lighting. And don't notice that I got myself off on the slip-stitch pattern and the bottom... just wasn't paying attention and didn't notice.
Carie Lynn in Neutrals
And then baby vest for baby boy due next week... this was a fun quick knit (worsted weight) done by modifying a pattern from DROPS.

Baby Vest

Happy Saturday!!

April FOs

Hello fellow gifters!

I've got two (#s 1 & 3) of my April items completed...

Green Celtic Tote... sadly, this is gifted to myself because a) I missed part of one cable's outlining and didn't realize until after I felted it, and b) it's a bit wonky despite much stretching. So not gift-worthy, but I still like it. Someday I may try to outline the part I missed, but I don't want to felt the bag anymore or it will lose the cable definition.

Green Celtic Tote

(made with Lamb's Pride Worsted)

I'm much happier with Carie Lynn Bag from SheKnitsforKnitters. It was a fun and relatively quick knit. This one is made with Valley Yarns Berkshire.

CL-felted

This bag will be donated to a raffle at a women's retreat next weekend.

Have great rest of the weekend!

April list

Hi all -
Well I've been working away at another Celtic Tote for my March list only to realize that it wasn't on my list! Which is ok since I haven't quite finished (hopefully by this weekend). Therefore I clearly didn't finish (or even start) the socks that WERE on the list...

Marce's prize for the Q3 challenge has me thinking hard about what to start. I swatched for a Voyager Stole a while ago, but never got going with it so that will be my lace project for the challenge.

It's a busy month ahead and I doubt I'll get thru the 5 April items, but here's a full list anyway:

1. Celtic Tote/tbd/April 10
2. Bias Bag/tbd/April 30
3. Carrie Lynn Bag/tbd/April 30
4. Carryover: Jaywalker Socks/tbd/April 30
5. Pebble Beach Socks/tbd/April 30

Q2 Challenge: Voyager Stole

Congrats to those that made it thru their lists so far and any part thereof!

March FO and revisited list

Hi all... I can't believe March is almost over... I finshed the lace scarf (don't have the pattern link handy, but it's in Ravelry if you're interested).

Mist Lace Scarf-blocked

Here's my modified March list:

Carryover: Celtic Cable bag/S bday/March 16 => DONE
Wrap Cardi /Isabel/March 22 => DONE
Thrummed Mitts/DF/March 31 (getting too warm - will add to future winter list!)
Malabrigo Lace scarf/Xmas/March 31 => DONE
Jaywalker Socks/tbd/March 31 - doubt I'll finish these, but have a couple of days left!

Baby Wrap done

Hi all - Happy Easter weekend to those who celebrate it!

I finished a baby wrap kimono just in time to wrap and take to the recipients 1st birthday party!

TealWrapCardi

It was an easy pattern - definitely one to do again!
