I'm still here!!!

So, life and projects have caught up with me. However, I'm still here and still keepin' on. I'm way behind on the posts and will (hopefully) be catching up over the weekend. I was totally bummed about tomorrow being the end of the month and I can't even remember what was on my list for this month. Figured there was no chance for any FO's. Then I dug out my list. Imagine my surprise when I realized that I actually do have FO's from my list!!! :) I may have a shot at one or two more, too. Here goes the current status:

1) Dishcloth/my mother/Valentine's Day/Rollover DONE! This actually metamorphed into two dishcloths and a towel for my mom and three dishcloths for my boyfriend's mom. Go figure! :)

2) Suzetta's February Scarf/a friend/Valentine's Day/Feb 13 DONE! This one also took on a life of it's own and became two scarves.

3) Wiggles Baby Sweater/a friend's baby/birthday TBD/Feb 29 DONE! Again with the multiples! I finished three of these and have a fourth on the needles.

4) Connected Hearts Shawl/a friend/Holidays/Feb 29 Okay, I whiffed on this one. Haven't even started.

5) Variation on Palindrome Scarf/a friend/Holidays/Feb 29 Partly done. Might finish by tomorrow. Otherwise, it'll be a rollover.

Not too bad for thinking I didn't have anything finished! LOL!!! :)

A February List!

Okay, I figure I get points for getting my February List up sooner than I did my January list - even though I should have had it up last week... LOL!

I have one roll over from January and a bunch of new stuff for February:

1) Dishcloth/my mother/Valentine's Day/Rollover
2) Suzetta's February Scarf/a friend/Valentine's Day/Feb 13
3) Wiggles Baby Sweater/a friend's baby/birthday TBD/Feb 29
4) Connected Hearts Shawl/a friend/Holidays/Feb 29
5) Variation on Palindrome Scarf/a friend/Holidays/Feb 29

I think that should keep me busy for a bit! I will probably finish some of them before the month ends and will replace them as needed with more items.

Now, where did I put those knitting needles...

So, the dishcloth gets rolled to February! Pictures will follow in a day or two (after I find my camera... sigh). I will start planning my February list and have it up soon, too.

Update

Well, I'm making progress. And I think I just might make it!

*The Tudora is knitted and just waiting to have it's ends tucked and button sewn on. This will be much easier to accomplish once I purchase the button this afternoon.
*Calorimetry had issues. Even though my daughter has a rather large head, it wasn't that large! So I frogged it and started over with smaller needles. (Swatches?!? We don't need no stinking swatches!!!)
*The baby blanket is finished and waiting for Tudora so I can do one photo shoot for both.
*The CAL afghan is still going strong and is on track to be finished by Thursday.
*And I haven't even thought about the dishcloth. But they work up fast, right? Right?!? LOL!

Better late than never?

Hi! I just realized that I totally forgot to post my January list!!! I know there are only two weeks left in the month, but I want to get the motivation going by posting something. So, here it is:

1) Tudora/a friend/Holiday giftJan 31
2) Calorimetry/Erin/Valentines Day/Jan 31
3) Complete Extended CAL as far as I have the clues/a friend/Valentines Day/Jan 31
4) Baby afghan/a friend/not sure/Jan 31
5) Dishcloth/my mother/Valentine's Day/Jan 31

These are all knitted items except the Extended CAL. I think that one is going to be an afghan, but not positive yet.

I realize that we are supposed to put names with the items we make, but I have a bit of a problem with that. Lots of folks I knit for are likely to be reading this and I don't want them to get their hopes up if they see their name, or one like it. Also, I have a bad track record with "making something for someone". If I have a specific person in mind for an item I just don't get it done. Don't ask me why, it just happens. However if I just make something, by the time I'm finished I know who it's going to be for. Go figure!

Oh, and anytime I say "Holiday gift", it means that whole Channukah, Christmas, Yule, Kwanza, etc, etc, season. I have friends who celebrate different ones and some who celebrate more than one of them. So I just lump them all together in my planning stage. Makes things much easier for me!

And as I complete items, I'll be replacing them with new ones. I like the idea of keeping to a list of 5 items at a time!
