A February List!

Okay, I figure I get points for getting my February List up sooner than I did my January list - even though I should have had it up last week... LOL!

I have one roll over from January and a bunch of new stuff for February:

1) Dishcloth/my mother/Valentine's Day/Rollover
2) Suzetta's February Scarf/a friend/Valentine's Day/Feb 13
3) Wiggles Baby Sweater/a friend's baby/birthday TBD/Feb 29
4) Connected Hearts Shawl/a friend/Holidays/Feb 29
5) Variation on Palindrome Scarf/a friend/Holidays/Feb 29

I think that should keep me busy for a bit! I will probably finish some of them before the month ends and will replace them as needed with more items.

Now, where did I put those knitting needles...

Leigh's February List

A Happy Ground Hog Day to all! We went up to see Wiarton Willie yesterday for my duaghter's birthday (she's a ground hog baby) and he didn't see his shadow and we heard Phill didn't neither. So an early spring. But what happened to winter? We really haven't had much.

My goal this month is to knit 5 more items or more. Whether its scarves or dishcloths for a craft show or to get some Christmas gifts done. I have to still catalogue one more tote of yarn than I can post how much I actually own. Its alot and I plan to knit some of it up this year.

Another goal is to knit some preemie hats for a yarn shop in town and use up some of the arcylic yarns I have. I just have to get there and get the patterns. I think I knitted one last year but it was almost at the end of the month and they were being shipped out a week later.

I also took 4 balls of yarn back to Zellers last week and Ihave frogged a sweater I started for my daughter. I wasn't that far into it so I can now use that yarn for soemthing else. Not sure what.
So..... February

5 knitted projects and some preemie hats.

At this time I have actually knitted 3 items for Feburary too. I finished a scarf on Feb 1 and I have made 2 heart dishcloths. So I know I will be able to complete the task by the end of the month. But if its a month like last.. than the knitting will be done at the start of the month and other life will take the last few weeks. January turned out to be a busy month and I think February will be too and its a short month.

Happy Knitting!

Pheelya's February Goals

One month down and keeping up nicely! I over estimated my ability and time by putting so many large projects on my January list. The two items that still remain from my January list will obviously be moved into February. Both of those projects are over 70% done, so that's good. I decided that February will be a month of small projects considering I still have these two big projects and my first lace project on needles (Secret of the Stole ii). Silly me bought cobweb lace for my first lace project. The poor woman at the LYS where I bought the yarn tried her best to deter me from buy cobweb lace for my first project, but I just fell in lust with the berry-red colored yarn that I closed myself off to any sensible advice and bought it. Payment for my stubborness?? ... I have frogged and cast-on 4 times already!! *sigh* I'm taking it much slower this time and counting and recounting my stitiches every other row, and I have learned all about "lifelines" with lace knitting. I WILL be adding these into my lace knitting practice!

This first lace project has been so frustrating and yet I am determine to knit lace, so crazy determined that I joined two other lace KALs! (Dem Fischer sin Fru & Mystic Light Mystery Shawl) Color me crazy!

January:
*** WhoDuKnit Mystery KAL - not sure for who - Christmas 2008 - January 31st
*** Christening blanket - Madelyn - baby gift - January 31st
*** Lace Baby Beenie - Madelyn - baby gift - January 31st
*** Waves Scarf - Sister - La Befana - January 6th moved to January 31st due to yarn shortage!
*** Fairy Blanket - niece - finishing from Christmas - January 31st

February:
1. Valentine's Day Shawl - me - just because - February 29th
2. Thumbelina Hat - Madelyn - Valentine's Day - February 8th
3. Leaf Top Hat - Madelyn - Valentine's Day - February 8th
4. 30 squares for Stained Glass afghan - ?? - Christmas 08 - February 29th (this will be a year long project as the afghan requires 357 squares!!)
5. Fetchings - sister - Christmas 08 - February 29th

March:
1. Secret of the Stole ii KAL - maybe Mom- ?? - March 31st
2. Dem Fischer sin Fru stole - no clue yet - ?? - March 31st

So sad... my list did not get done, February List

So my January list did not get done. I did complete the scarf for my friend and the dog sweater for my grandma's dog. I did not complete the hat for hubby or the baby blanket for the soon to be born niece or nephew. I am very close on the baby blanket, the knitting is done but not the finishing. I just need to weave in some ends and seam the three panels together. I am hoping to be done with it in the next couple of days. The hat is not even close, but it is a quick knit. So here is my February List I think I am going to be a little less ambitious because work has been :

1. baby blanket from January/sister-in law's baby shower/ february 16th
2. hat /hubby/valentine's day
3. hat /boss/ Feb. 29 (yay leap year)/thank you gift
4. dishcloth /mom/birthday (i'll be making a lot of these, but I am going to start with one, this month just in case this month is as busy as last month.)

Have a great weekend everyone, and Happy Knitting!
